FUNERAL HELD: Ida M. Bovatt

DATELINE: Saint Albans, Vermont

A Funeral Service was held Saturday August 6, 2011, at 5 p.m. from The Church of the Rock. The Reverend Elizabeth Griffin assisted by Pastor Roland Ludlam officiated. Music was provided by soloist, Arlene Thompson accompanied by pianist, Barbara Cox-Niquette. Special Words of Remembrance were shared by Ida’s daughter, Donna Burke. Among the large delegations in attendance were representatives from the, Northwestern Medical Center, Mary S. Babcock and Swanton Central Schools, Hannaford’s Supermarket of Saint Albans, Swanton Village Fire Department and Auxiliary, O.C. McCuin & Sons, Highgate Historical Society, Highgate Volunteer Fire Department, Channels 15 and 16 Cable Access, Chevalier Drilling, The Book Club and the parish communities of The Church of the Rock and Saint Albans Bay United Methodist Church. Following the service a reception was held for family and friends in the Church Fellowship Hall hosted by the parish family. Committal Services and Interment took place Monday August 8, 2011, at 9 a.m. from the Bovatt family lot in the Highgate Center Cemetery with The Reverend Mrs. Griffin reading the committal prayers. The bearers were, Peter Burke MD, Jason and Matthew Burke, Corey and Owen McCuin and Patrick Hodet.
