The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated
on Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at 11 a.m. from the Church of the Immaculate
Conception in Saint Albans. Father Maria Lazar was the celebrant and
homilist. Assisted by The Reverend Mr. Gabriel Gagne, Deacon assigned to
Church of the Immaculate Conception. Denise Messier and John Manahan served
as Ministers of the Altar. Music as provided by soloist, Jeanne Begnoche accompanied
by organist, Michael Olmstead. Special hymn “Ave Maria” was sung by Edward Oprea.
Special Words of Remembrance were shared by Mrs. Brown’s son, Doctor Kevin
Brown and family friend, Lisa Hayden. Crucifix
was placed on her casket by her brother, Cyril Reid. The Old Testament and
New Readings
were proclaimed by Mrs. Brown’s granddaughter, Reid Brown and family friend, Nicholas
Hayden. The Offertory Gifts were presented by Lise Gagner-Bovat and Dan Bovat.
The bearers were, Dr. Kevin Brown, Edward Oprea, Brian Hayden, Dan Bovat,
Armand Morin and William Magnus. The Rite of Committal and Interment followed
in the Brown family lot in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Swanton with Father Lazar
reading the committal prayers.
