FUNERAL HELD: Jean Brosseau Burnor

The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday, July 29, 2011, at 10 a.m. from Saint Patrick Roman Catholic Church. Father Leonidas B. Laroche was the celebrant and homilist. Assisting as Deacon was The Reverend Mr. Gabriel M. Liegey, Jr. Richard Howrigan served as Minister of the Altar. Music was provided by soloist John Schreindofer accompanied by pianist Michael Olmstead. The White Funeral Pall and the Crucifix were placed by Jean’s husband David Burnor. Special Words of Remembrance were shared by Marshall True. The Old Testament Reading was proclaimed by son-in-law Sean Heckman and The New Testament Reading by nephew Bruce Gagne.  Jean’s sisters Patricia Gagne and Laurie Bushey; Godson and nephew Trey Bushey and niece Cassandra Bushey presented The Offertory Gifts. Among the large delegations in attendance were representatives from the Vermont Senate and House of Representatives, Vermont Student Assistance Corporation, S.D. Ireland, The Fiddlehead Dental Team, Dickinson and Branon Dental Care PLLC, Hartford Career Firefighters Local 2905, Kittell Branagan and Sargent, Altec Service, H & B Greenhouse & Nursery, Leduc Construction, Husky, Vermont State Police, Fairfield, Highgate and Sheldon Town Offices, Alburgh RV Resort, Rene J. Fournier Farm Equipment, Swanton Village Green Apartments, Cold Hollow Vet Service, Hartigan Company, Route 105 Auto, Cost Effective Business Solutions, Franklin County Field Days including the Board of Directors, Barrette Ford Sales and Service, Northwestern Medical Center, Local Avon Representatives, Campbell’s Bay Campground, Franklin County Home Health Agency, Northwest Supervisory Union Office of the Superintendent of Schools, Franklin County Business and Professional Women’s Association, Sticks & Stuff, Office of the Saint Albans City Clerk, Highgate Historical Society, Chevalier Drilling, Vermont Cancer Medicine, Fairfax Associates in Medicine, Porter’s Bike Shop, The Tyler Place, Law Offices of E.J. McCuin & Sons, IBM, Missisquoi Valley Union High School, Holy Trinity Episcopal Church and the parish communities of Saint Patrick, Saint Anthony / Saint George and Nativity / Saint Louis.  Following the liturgy a reception was held for family and friends in Saint Patrick’s Parish Hall. The bearers all of Jean’s children were Jennifer Fournier, Julie Burnor, Sarah Heckman and Nathan and Kevin Burnor. The Funeral Procession was escorted from the funeral home in Swanton to Saint Patrick Church in Fairfield by Matthew and Elaine Magnan in the S.D. Ireland Cancer Research Mixer.
