FUNERAL HELD: Clifton Frederick Bushey, Sr.

 DATELINE: Swanton, Vermont

 

The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at 11 a.m. from The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Father Thomas D. Nadeau was the celebrant and homilist. Joseph Gamache and Eugene LaBombard served as Ministers of the Altar. Music was provided by soloist, Jeanne Begnoche accompanied by organist, Michael Olmstead. During the Offertory special music was offered by grandson, Eric Bushey. Special Words of Remembrance were shared by granddaughter, Susan Coleman. The White Funeral Pall was draped over Clifton’s casket by his children, Joyce, Beverly, Clifton Jr. and Raymond. Joyce then placed the Crucifix. The Old Testament Reading was proclaimed by granddaughter, Lara Bushey and The New Testament Reading by granddaughter, Kari Ploof. The Offertory Gifts were presented by great grandchildren, Libby Lane, Reace Baker, Samantha Bushey and Abby Moore. Among the delegations in attendance were representatives from, Mylan Technologies, Moore Lincoln Mercury, Northwestern Medical Center, Dexter Products, Flowers by Debbie, Swanton Fire Department and Auxiliary, Swanton Village Green Apartments, Silhouette Design, Rocheleau Real Estate and Appraisal and the parish community of Nativity / Saint Louis.  The Rite of Committal and Interment followed at the Bushey family lot in Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery with Father Nadeau reading the committal prayers. The bearers were grandsons, Chad, Eric and Jason Bushey, Robbie Raine, David Moore and nephew, Craig Young. Following The Prayers of Committal a reception was held for family and friends at the Nativity Parish Center hosted by Mrs. Joyce Bombardier and the Ladies of Saint Anne.
