FUNERAL HELD: Ralph Herbert Bushey

DATELINE: Swanton, Vermont

 

The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Friday, July 1, 2011, at 11 a.m. from The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Father Thomas D. Nadeau was the celebrant and homilist. Joseph Gamache and Eugene LaBombard served as Ministers of the Altar and Mrs. Helen Stimets was the Eucharistic Minister. Music was provided by organist and soloist, Mary Jo Gillilan. The White Funeral Pall was draped over Ralph’s casket by his son Royal Bushey and his daughters, Delores Trahan, Lois Archambault and Debra Savery.  The Crucifix was then placed by granddaughter Jill Trahan. Special Words of Remembrance were shared by daughter, Lois Archambault. The first reading from The Old Testament was proclaimed by grandson, Robert Archambault and the second reading from The New Testament by granddaughter, Mallory Bushey, The Offertory Gifts were presented by grandchildren, Christina Dryden, Emily Archambault, Katie Archambault and great grandson, Aiden Archambault. Among the many delegations in attendance were representatives from, Our Lady of the Meadows and Ave Maria Homes, Office of Doctor Elizabeth Nelson, Swanton Rexall, Bev’s Shear Expectations, Swanton Rexall, Mary S. Babcock and Swanton Central Schools, Swanton Fire Department and Auxiliary, Moore Lincoln Mercury, Silhouette Design, Rene Fournier Farm Equipment, Warren Fournier Home Improvement Center, Swanton Chiropractic, BFA-Saint Albans, Swanton Chamber of Commerce, Boucher Fertilizer, Franklin County Rehab Center, Dexter Products, Flowers by Debbie, Swanton Village Green Apartments, Swanton Public Library, Burlington Drug Company, Northwestern Medical Center, Swanton Historical Society and Lake Champlain Housing Trust. The Rite of Committal and Interment followed at the Bushey family lot in Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery with Father Nadeau reading the committal prayers. The bearers all grandsons were, Jay Trahan, Jon Trahan, Mark Archambault, Robert Archambault, Ethan Bushey, Matt Flinn and Mark Flinn. Following The Prayers of Committal a reception was held for family and friends in the Nativity parish Center hosted by Mrs. Joyce Bombardier and the Ladies of Saint Anne.
