FUNERAL HELD: Joy Crystal Chaffee-Spears

A Funeral Service was held Friday evening August 12, 2011, at 8 p.m. from The Kidder Memorial Home. The Reverend Marcheta Townsend officiated. Special Words of Remembrance were shared by Joy’s sister-in-law, Parmallee Chaffee and cousin, Jennifer Ploof. Among the large delegations in attendance were representatives from, The New England Central and Connecticut Railroad, Rail America, BLET Division 521, Highgate Town Offices, Highgate School District, Missisquoi Valley Union High School, Aubuchon Hardware, Sticks & Stuff, Abenaki Nation of Vermont led by Chief April St. Francis-Merrill, The Tyler Place, Swanton Mobil, Swanton Beverage Mart, Swanton Fire Department and Auxiliary, Swanton Village Green Apartments, Northwestern Medical Center, Country Screen Printing, and many Highgate Springs friends and neighbors. Following the service a reception was held for family and friends at the American Legion, Green Mountain Post # 1 in Saint Albans. Interment services will be private and at the family’s convenience.
