A Funeral Service was held Wednesday, May 25,
2010, at 11 a.m. from The Kidder Memorial Home. Father Lawrence P. Ridgley,
pastor of the Island Roman Catholic Parish
officiated. Music was provided by soloist, Maurice Gauthier accompanied by
organist, Carol Pellerin. Among the delegations in attendance were
representatives from, Gett’s Truck and Auto Repair, Northside Baptist Church,
Bonnette Welding, American Legion Creller-Landon Post 60 Auxiliary, Vermont
Precision Tools, Knights of Columbus, Saint Edmund of Canterbury Council 7669
and the parish communities of Saint Amadeus, Saint Joseph’s Mission and Saint
Anne’s Shrine. The Rite of Committal and Interment followed at the Corliss /
Pelkey family lot in Saint Amadeus Roman Catholic Cemetery with Father
Ridgley reading the committal prayers. The bearers were Susan’s sons, Peter
and Daniel Corliss; brother-in-law, Isadore Shedrick; nieces, Nina Bonnette,
Patty Brown and Mary Hill and nephews, John Bonnette and Wally D. Pelkey.
Following The Prayers of Committal a reception was held for family and
friends in the Saint Amadeus Parish Center hosted by Maurice Gauthier with
the assistance of the Council of Catholic Women.
