FUNERAL HELD: Muriel Eleanor “Mert” Dexter

DATELINE: Swanton / Highgate

A Funeral Service was celebrated Wednesday September 28, 2011, at 11 a.m. from The Kidder Memorial Home. Father Thomas D. Nadeau officiated. Music was provided by organist and soloist, Mary Jo Gillilan and Bagpiper Jacquelyn Lewis. Readings from both the Old and New Testament were proclaimed by, Stephen Beyor. Among the delegations in attendance were representatives from the, United States Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Mylan Technology, Nativity / Saint Louis Bingo Committee and many Highgate Springs friends and neighbors. The Rite of Committal and Interment followed at the Dexter family lot in Saint Louis Roman Catholic Cemetery, Highgate Center with Father Nadeau reading the committal prayers. The bearers were, Stephen Beyor, Gerard Labrie, Stephen Dexter, Gerald Dexter, Grant Symington and Douglas Austin. Following The Prayers of Committal a reception was held for family and friends in the Nativity Parish Center hosted by, Mrs. Joyce Bombardier and the Ladies of Saint Anne.
