FUNERAL HELD: John James Fahy

DATELINE: Alburgh / Isle La Motte

 

The Liturgy of Christian Burial was concelebrated Wednesday November 30, 2011, at 11 a.m. from Saint Amadeus Roman Catholic Church. Father Thomas D. Nadeau pastor of Nativity / Saint Louis Parish was the celebrant and homilist. Concelebrating was Father Lawrence P. Ridgley pastor of the Island Roman Catholic Parish. Justin Sharp and Lance Percy served as Ministers of the Altar. Music was provided by soloist, Jeanne Begnoche accompanied by organist and pianist, Michael Olmstead. Special music was offered by Thomas Shaughnessy and Edward Fahy. Special Words of Remembrance composed by Patrick Bradley were shared by Patrick Fahy. Scripture Readings from the Old and New Testament were proclaimed by, Edward Fahy and Shadia Sallit. Edward Fahy also prayed The Prayers of Intercession. Maryrose Fahy and Tony and Ferial Karanta presented The Offertory Gifts. Among the delegations in attendance were representatives from, Rice Memorial High School, Saint Michael's College, Saint Anne's Shrine, Vermont Welcome Centers, Hospice of the Champlain Valley, Island Roman Catholic Parish and Champlain Valley Agency on Aging. The Rite of Committal and Interment followed at the Fahy family lot in Saint Joseph's Cemetery, Isle La Motte with Father Nadeau reading the committal prayers. The Urn Bearer was Mr. Fahy's son, Misha. Following The Prayers of Committal a reception was held at the Saint Amadeus Parish Center hosted by Maurice Gauthier.
