FUNERAL HELD: Romeo Allen Gagne, Jr. DATELINE: Swanton,
Vermont The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday
September 27, 2011, at 10 a.m. from The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed
Virgin Mary. Father Thomas D. Nadeau was the celebrant and homilist.
Assisting as Deacon was, The Reverend Mr. Gabriel Gagne. Edward Daniel and
Joseph Gamache served as Ministers of the Altar.
Music was provided by soloist, Jeanne Begnoche
accompanied by organist, Michael Olmstead. Special Words of remembrance were
shared by Romoe’s daughter, Alicia Buskey. The White Funeral Pall was draped over Romeo’s
casket by granddaughter, Nicole Buskey and
grandson, Zachariah Peters. The Crucifix was then placed by granddaughter,
Stephanie Buskey. Readings from the Old and New
Testament were proclaimed by sister-in-law, Sylvia Gagne and daughter, Alicia
Buskey. Grandchildren, Catherine Buskey, Jacob Peters, Grace Kinney and Nathaniel Peters
presented The Offertory Gifts. The Rite of Committal and Interment followed
at the Gagne / Peters family lot in Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery with
Father Nadeau assisted by Deacon Gagne reading the committal prayers. The
bearers were, Keith, James, Jeremy and Eric Gagne; Zachariah Peters, Ryan Maskell, Joseph Roddy and
Jonathan Roddy. Full Military Honors were accorded
the deceased by members of the Vermont Army National Guard, Funeral Honors
Team. The American Flag which draped the Vietnam Era veterans casket was
folded by, SFC Thomas Bevins and presented to
daughter, Alicia Buskey by, SFC Scott Camley. Taps were sounded by bugler, SFC John Joly. Following The Prayers of Committal and Military
Services a reception was held for family and friends in the Nativity Parish
Center hosted by Mrs. Joyce Bombardier and the Ladies of Saint Anne. Click this link to offer on-line Condolences Simply put
