FUNERAL HELD: Marion Paquette Lauzon

 DATELINE: Swanton, Vermont

 

The Liturgy of Christian Burial was concelebrated Saturday August 6, 2011, at 10 a.m. from The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Father Thomas D. Nadeau was the celebrant and homilist. Concelebrating priests were, Father Marcel R. Rainville, SSE and Father Daniel Lokanga. Joseph Gamache and Cleo Yandow served as Ministers of the Altar. Music was provided by soloist, Andrew LaRocque accompanied by organist, Elaine L’Esperance. A large guard of honor was formed by members of the Ladies of Saint Anne and the Daughters of the Holy Spirit Associates. The White Funeral Pall was draped over Marion’s casket by her children, Theresa Fedorchek, Anne Retzlaff and Michael and George Lauzon. The Crucifix was then placed by Theresa. The Old Testament Reading was proclaimed by son, Michael Lauzon and The New Testament Reading by brother-in-law, Albert Lauzon. The Prayers of the Faithful were led by niece, Kathy Baker. Granddaughters, Heather Retzlaff and Rebecca Fedorchek as well as caregiver Tracie Pilbin, RN presented The Offertory Gifts. Among the delegations in attendance were representatives from the, Daughters of the Holy Spirit, Society of St. Edmund, Green Mountain Tours, Vermont Precision Tools and Vermont Gage, Franklin County Home Health Agency, Mary S. Babcock and Swanton Central Schools and the parish communities of Nativity / St. Louis and Holy Angels. The Rite of Committal and Interment followed at the Lauzon family lot in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery with Father Nadeau assisted by Father Rainville reading the committal prayers. The bearers were, Daniel Beauregard, Richard Paquette, David Eisenmann, Alan Ladd, Ron Pilbin and Tom Miller. Following The Prayers of Committal a reception was held for family and friends at the Nativity parish Center hosted by Mrs. Joyce Bombardier and the Ladies of St. Anne.
