FUNERAL HELD: Robert Elwin Messier

DATELINE: Swanton / Highgate Center

A Private Family Funeral Service was held Saturday August 13, 2011, at 10 a.m. from The Kidder Memorial Home. Father Thomas D. Nadeau pastor of Nativity / Saint Louis Parish officiated. Full Military Honors were accorded the deceased by members of the Vermont Army National Guard, Funeral Honors Team. The American Flag honoring the World War II Army Veteran was folded by, SFC Michael Mumley and SGT Kyle Small and presented to Mr. Messier’s son, David by SGT Mumley. Taps were sounded by SGT Mark LeFleur. The Rite of Committal and Interment will take place at the family’s convenience.
