FUNERAL HELD: Doris Lillian Nadeau DATELINE: Highgate
Center, Vermont The Liturgy of Christian Burial was
celebrated Saturday September 10, 2011, at 10 a.m. from Saint Louis Roman
Catholic Church. Father Thomas D. Nadeau was the celebrant and homilist.
Assisting as Deacon was The Reverend Mr. Gabriel Gagne. Paul Laroche served as Minister of the Altar. Music was
provided by soloists, Jacqueline Depatie and Jean Rainville accompanied by organist, Mrs. Gisele Bilodeau. A guard of honor was formed by members of the
Ladies of Saint Anne. The White Funeral Pall was draped over Doris’s casket
by her son, Daniel Nadeau and daughter-in-law, Becky Gamache.
Daniel also placed the Crucifix. Special Words of Remembrance were shared and
the Readings from the Old and New Testament proclaimed by, Debbie Weatherby. Among the delegations in attendance were
representatives from the, Highgate School District,
Franklin County Foster Grandparent Program, IBM, Dexter Products, Swanton
Village Fire Department and Auxiliary, O.C. McCuin
& Sons, Doug Rollo Excavating, The Total Home Center, Ashley Home
Furnishings and Franklin County Home Health Agency. The Rite of Committal and
Interment followed at the Nadeau family lot in Saint Louis Cemetery with
Father Nadeau assisted by Deacon Gagne reading the committal prayers. The
bearers were, Daniel Nadeau, Becky Gamache Josh Banyea, Ginny Alger, Jimmy Corwell
and Philip Brosseau. Following The Prayers of
Committal a reception was held for family and friends in the Father Jean Paul
Laplante Parish Center hosed by Mrs. Raymonde Choiniere and the
