FUNERAL HELD: Alanna Joyce Schuster

DATELINE: Swanton, Vermont

A Funeral Service was held Saturday, June 12, 2010, at 11 a.m. from The Kidder Memorial Home. The Reverend Doctor Marguerite C. Gage pastor of the Swanton Memorial and Sheldon United Methodist Parishes officiated. Special Music was provided by Maria and Heidi Laroche both best friends of Alanna’s mother Jodie. A large guard of honor was formed by members of the Swanton Village Fire Department led by Chief Peter Prouty along with a large contingent from Missisquoi Valley Rescue. Among the many other delegations in attendance were representatives from the, Vermont House of Representatives, Saint Albans City and Town Fire Departments, Highgate, Stowe, North Hyde Park and Worcester Volunteer Fire Departments, Vermont State Firefighters Association, Franklin County International Firefighters Association, AmCare Ambulance, Swanton Village and South Burlington Police Departments, Swanton Town and Village Offices, Franklin County Home Health Agency, Care Partners Adult Day Care, Chevalier Drilling, Boardman Family Gardens, Swanton Troop of the Boy Scouts of America, Local Avon Representatives, WVMT Radio, Party Lite, Mary S. Babcock and Swanton Central Schools, The Parts Store, Ben & Jerry’s, Kenneth R. Adams, Inc., and Mousetrap Pediatrics. Interment followed at the Schuster / Derosia family lot in Riverside Cemetery with Doctor Gage reading the committal prayers. The bearers were, Andrew Schuster, Josh Derosia, Michael Farrar and Jason Cross. Following The Prayers of Committal a reception was held for family and friends at the Swanton Municipal Complex hosted by the Village Fire Department and Auxiliary and Missisquoi Valley Rescue.
