FUNERAL HELD: Hilda Marjorie St. Francis DATELINE: Swanton, Vermont A Funeral Service was held Friday, November 18,
2011, at 10:30 a.m. from The Kidder Memorial Home. Father Thomas D. Nadeau,
pastor of Nativity / Saint Louis Parish officiated. Special Words of
Remembrance were shared by Abenaki Chief April St.
Francis- Merrill. Among the large delegations in attendance were
representatives from, Leader Evaporator, Swanton Town and Village Offices, H.
G. Berger and Son, BMTM Services, Inc., Missisquoi
Amateur Hockey Association, Champlain Cable, Bev's Shear Expectations, The Abenaki Nation of Vermont, Swanton Chiropractic, Rocheleau Appraisals and Real Estate, Mylan
Technologies, Northwestern Medical Center, Saint Albans Health and Rehabilitation
Center, Mary S. Babcock and Swanton Central Schools, Swanton Meadows, Blake
Commons, Porter's Bike Shop, Franklin County Home Health Agency, Missisquoi Valley Rescue and Swanton Village Police
Department. The Rite of Committal and Interment followed at the St. Francis
Family lot in Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery with Father Nadeau reading
the committal prayers. The bearers were grandsons, Paul, Robert Jr., James,
Travis and Todd St. Francis and great
grandson, Paul Bruton. Following The Prayers of
Committal a reception was held for family and friends at the Swanton Village
Complex. Hilda's family extends their "Sincerest Thanks" to Swanton
Village Police Chief Leonard "Joey" Stell
for all of his kindness, caring, compassion and professionalism the evening
that Hilda died.
