FUNERAL HELD:  Pamphile Roland Tremblay

 DATELINE: Highgate Center, Vermont

 

The Liturgy of Christian Burial was concelebrated Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at 1 p.m. from Saint Louis Roman Catholic Church. Father Maurice J. Roy was the principal celebrant and homilist. Concelebrating priest were, Father Jean Paul Laplante, Father Leonidas B. Laroche and Father Thomas D. Nadeau. John Ferland and Paul Laroche served as Ministers of the Altar. Music was provided by organist and soloist, Mary Jo Gillian. Special Music during the Offertory was offered by granddaughter, Suzanne Tremblay singing Amazing Grace. A large guard of honor was formed by members of the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, Assembly 1149, St. Albans led by Faithful Navigator James Bianca and Honor Guard Commander Russell Porwitzky. The White Funeral Pall was draped over Pamphile’s casket by his four daughters, Annette Bonanno, Juliette Rice, Suzanne Monty and Helen Dasher. The Crucifix was then placed by his wife Armande. Readings from The Old and New Testament were proclaimed by great granddaughter, Miranda Tremblay and granddaughter, Danielle Garrant. The Offertory Gifts were presented by great granddaughters, Eva Staples and Samantha Rice. Special Words of Remembrance were shared by niece, Jacqueline Bouchard Noel and longtime family friend, John Boucher. Among the large delegations in attendance were representatives from the, Homestead Campground, Merchants Bank, Highgate and Franklin School Districts, Missisquoi Valley Union High School, Mary S. Babcock and Swanton Central Schools, Rainville and Sons, Inc., Dick Wright Ford, Northwestern Medical Center and Auxiliary, Harvest Equipment, Rene Fournier Farm Equipment, Swanton Village Green Apartments, The Handy Group, Northwest Supervisory Union – Office of the Superintendant of Schools, Warren Fournier Farm Equipment, M&T Sand and Gravel, Grand Avenue Enterprises, Carman Brook Farm, GTM Electric, Desorcie’s Store, Missisquoi Valley Rescue, Sticks & Stuff, Mother Hubbard’s Bakery, Wood & Kidder, Inc., United States Postal Service, GMG Families, S.B. Collins and Jolley Associates, The Abbey Group, Franklin County Field Days, Vermont Maple Festival, Highgate and Swanton Memorial United Methodist Churches and the parish communities of, Holy Angels / Ascension and Nativity / Saint Louis. The Rite of Committal and Interment followed at the Tremblay family lot in Saint Louis Cemetery with Father Roy assisted by Father Nadeau reading the committal prayers. The Honorary Bearers were, Maurice Laroche, Rene Choquette, Lawrence Beaulieu, Gilles Fortin, Edgar Royer, John Boucher and Rene Fournier. The Active Bearers all grandchildren were, Austin, Travis, Dustin and Suzanne Tremblay, Keith Rice, Michelle Stanley, Kari Staples and Kelly Lussier. Following The Prayers of Committal a reception was held at the Father Jean Paul Laplante Parish Center hosted by Mrs. Raymonde Choiniere and the Ladies of Saint Anne.
