FUNERAL HELD: V. Anne Zweeres

 DATELINE: Swanton, Vermont

 

The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday Novembers 5, 2011, at 11 a.m. from The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Father Thomas D. Nadeau was the celebrant and homilist. Edward Daniel and Joseph Gamache served as Ministers of the Altar and Mrs. Helen Stimets as Eucharistic Minister. Music was provided by soloist, Janet Maguire accompanied by pianist, Louise Loomis. A large guard of honor was formed by members of the Ladies of Saint Anne and Altar Society. The White Funeral Pall was draped over Anne's casket by her children, Barbara Godin, Stephen Zweeres, Robert Zweeres, Theresa Getty, Martha Zweeres-Wagoner and Carol Greenwood. Granddaughter, Heather Godin placed the Crucifix. Readings from both the Old and New Testament were proclaimed by family friend, Martha Rocheleau. The Offertory Gifts were presented by grandchildren, Abby Peters, Amanda and Jessica Wagoner and Sarah Zweeres. Among the delegations in attendance were representatives from the, Associates of the Daughters of the Holy Spirit, Franklin County Home Health Agency, Franklin County Rehab Center, Chevalier Drilling, Mary S. Babcock and Swanton Central Schools, Superior Technical Ceramics and the Nativity Parish Community. The Rite of Committal and Interment followed at the Zweeres family lot in Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery with Father Nadeau reading the committal prayers. The bearers all grandsons were, Kevin Zweeres, Michael Godin, Corey, Getty, B.J. Getty and Luc Gagne and family friernd, Stephen Rocheleau. A reception for family and friends followed The Prayers of Committal at the Nativity Parish Center hosted by Mrs. Joyce Bombardier and the Ladies of Saint Anne. During the Friday evening visitation the Nativity Ladies of Saint Anne Chaplet was led by President Joyce Bombardier
