The
Liturgy of Christian Burial was concelebrated Friday, July 2, 2010, at 11
a.m. from the Chapel at Saint Anne’s Shrine. The Principle Celebrant and
Homilist was The Reverend Monsignor Wendell H. Searles. Concelebrating was
Father Brian J. Cummings, SSE. The Reverend Mr. Alan Vincelette assisted as
Deacon. Music was provided by guitarist and soloist, Jerome Monachino with
special music by Maurice Gauthier and The Pilgrim Believers Choir. The White
Funeral Pall was draped over Leonard’s casket by nieces, Bonnie Betourney,
Paula Paquette, and Darlene Thorpe and nephews, Kevin and Stephen Clark.
Readings from The Old and New Testament were proclaimed by nieces, Carmen
Greenough and Valerie Poissant. Leonard’s brother, Leo Bonneville and his
wife, Joy Clark presented The Offertory Gifts. Special Words of Remembrance
were shared by niece Bonnie Betourney. Among the delegations in attendance
were representatives from the, Isle La Motte and Alburgh Town Offices,
Alburgh Public Library, Irick Excavating, Isle La Motte Country Store,
Poissant Auto, Island in the Sun Senior Citizens, American Legion,
Creller-Landon Post 60, Alburgh, Highgate United Methodist Parish, former
Ayerst Laboratory Associates, Northwestern Medical Center, Hospice of Clinton
County, New York, and the parish communities of Saint Amadeus, Saint Joseph’s
Mission, Saint Anne Shrine and Saint Patrick’s. The Rite of Committal and Interment followed
at the Bonneville family lot in Saint Joseph’s Cemetery with Monsignor
Searles assisted by Deacon Vincelette reading the committal prayers. The
bearers were grandsons, Jeremy and Jason Langlois and Randy, Keith, Jerry,
Thomas, Joshua and Joseph Bonneville. Full Military Honors were accorded the
deceased by members of the Vermont Air National Guard, Funeral Honors Team.
Officer in Charge was Colonel Michael Morgan. Members of the Firing Party
were, CMSGT Timothy Agan, TSGT Galen Jacques, TSGT Morrell Bunbury and MSGT
Erica Rabidoux, (NCOIC). The American Flag honoring the United States Air
Force Veterans casket was folded by, MSGT Erika Rabidoux and presented to
Mrs. Pauline Bonneville by Colonel Morgan. Taps were sounded by Bugler, SRA
Rebecca Mersand. A Color Guard was also formed by members of the American
Legion, Montgomery Post 912 of Rouses Point. Following The Prayers of
Committal and Military services a reception was held for family and friends
at the Saint Amadeus Parish Center hosted by Maurice Gauthier. |
