FUNERAL HELD: Jessica Marie Cross

DATELINE: Swanton, Vermont

The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated Saturday November 19, 2011, at 12 Noon from The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Father Thomas D. Nadeau was the celebrant and homilist. Joseph Gamache and Eugene LaBombard served as Ministers of the Altar and Dena St. Amour assisted as Eucharistic Minister. Music was provided by soloist, Jeanne Begnoche accompanied by organist, Michael Olmstead. The White Funeral Pall was draped over Jessica's casket by her mother, Linda Cross and Aunt, Sharon Cross. Cousin Angela Cross then placed the Crucifix. Special Words of Remembrance were shared by Matt Walker. The Old Testament reading was proclaimed by Dee Raleigh and The New Testament reading by, Patty Jo Walker. The Offertory gifts were presented by, Dena and Ken St. Amour. Among the large delegations in attendance were representatives from the, Swanton Town and Village Offices, Swanton Recreation Department, Swanton Chamber of Commerce, Mary S. Babcock and Swanton Central Schools, Missisquoi Valley Union High School, Vermont Little League, Northwest Supervisory Union office of the Superintendant of Schools, Abenaki Nation of Vermont led by Chief April St. Francis-Merrill, Title VII Indian Education and Parent Advisory Committee, and Dew Construction. The bearers were, Joe Shedrick, Travis Cross, Nathan Lillquist, Homer St. Francis, Matt Walker, David Cross, Jeff Raleigh and Joe Raleigh. Following the Liturgy a reception was held for family and friends in the Nativity Parish Center hosted by, Mrs. Joyce Bombardier and the Ladies of Saint Anne.
