Center David Rosaire Choiniere, age 58 years, died Thursday morning August 18,
2011, at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Michael Rainville in East Fairfield. Born in St. Albans on July 20, 1953, he was
the son of Andrew C. and Claire (Rainville) Choiniere. David was a 1971 graduate of Missisquoi Valley Union High School and continued his
education at the Vermont Technical College graduating in 1973 as
Valedictorian of his class. A native of Highgate
Center David has lived in the Springfield, VT area since 1975. He was the
founder and owner of Profile Engineering, Inc., from 1989 until 2010 and was
a member of the American Gear Manufactures Association and the Society of
Manufacturing Engineers. He was a 23 year member of the Springfield
Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks #1560 as well as a member of the
Springfield Hitormis Club and the Springfield Loyal
Order of Moose Lodge #679. Following
his graduation from Vermont Tech David worked for the Town of Highgate, his favorite job, from which he received much
enjoyment. Besides his parents Andrew and Claire Choiniere of Highgate Center,
David leaves his son, Andrew D. and fiancée Catherine Stipa
of Ellington, CT; two daughters, April D. Choiniere
and boyfriend Charles Monfett of Holyoke, MA and
Ashley D. Franklin and husband Keyan of Laurel, MD
and the mother of his children, Coralee Choiniere of Springfield. David also leaves four brothers,
Edward of Highgate Center and friend Joanne Yousten of St. Albans, Luke and wife Lori of Highgate Center, Conrad and wife Denise of Columbia, MD,
and Eric and companion Mike Bradbury
of Seattle, WA; eight sisters, Marie Clearman and
husband Tom of Canton, GA, Carman Trahan and husband Gabe of Georgia, Colette
Ploof and husband Marshall of Franklin, Carol Rainville and husband Michael of E. Fairfield, Rina Choiniere of Sheldon,
Gloria Marceau and husband Alan of Williamstown, Denise Choiniere - Cox
and husband Marlon of Swanton and Doris Bourgeois and husband Michael of Whynot, NC; many nieces and nephews especially Fabian Rainville with whom he enjoyed playing guitar. He was predeceased by a brother, Claude in
March of 1984. David’s family would like to acknowledge
Carol and Michael Rainville for opening their home
to him and providing David with lots of love, care and support during the
last months of his illness. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be
celebrated Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at 11 a.m. from Saint Louis Roman
Catholic Church, 186 Lamkin St., Highgate Center. Father Thomas D. Nadeau will be the
celebrant and homilist. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at
the Choiniere family lot in St. Louis Cemetery.
Friends may call at The Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton on
Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. Members of the Springfield BPOE #1560 will conduct
their Ritualistic Service at 7 p.m.
