OBITUARY: Charlotte Marion (Currier) Clark

DATELINE:  Swanton, Vermont

Mrs. Charlotte Marion (Currier) Clark, age 80 years, a resident of the Church Street School Apartments, died Monday evening, April 7, 2008, at the Northwestern Medical center in Saint Albans City.

 

Born in Vergennes, Vermont on, July 6, 1927, she was the daughter of the late, Carl and Lena (Duplease) Currier. She was married to Lloyd E. Clark for 55 years until his death in 1999.

 

Mrs. Clark loved gardening and was famous for her homemade breads, especially her raisin bread. She will be remembered as a friend to everyone in the School Apartments on Church Street, especially beloved by her friends, Eva Boudreau and Rachel Martel. She was a member of The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

 

Mrs. Clark leaves her children, Lloyd L. Clark and wife Joan of Phoenix, MD, Veronica B. Johnston and husband Jerry of Highgate Falls, Leo E. Clark of Troy, NY, James A. Clark and wife Victoria of Delmar. NY and Charlaine J. Jones and husband Jerry of Hoosick Falls, NY; a brother, Donald Currier of Platte City, MO; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Clark was predeceased by two sisters, Marlene Merrow and Elaine Grover.

 

A Memorial Service is being planned for late May and will be announced at a later date. Father Benedict C. Kiely will officiate. The family requests that in lieu of flowers gifts in Mrs. Clark’s memory be made to, The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, in care of, Father Benedict C. Kiely, 65 Canada Street, Swanton 05488 or to the, Franklin County Home Health Agency, 3 Home Health Circle, Saint Albans 05478.
