DATELINE:  Highgate Center, Vermont

 

Lorrie-Ann Davies, age 51 years, died late Thursday afternoon, December 29, 2011, at her Vermont Route 78 home in Highgate Center with loving family at her side.

 

Born in Danvers, MA on August 26, 1960, she was the daughter of Gordon and Theresa (Roy) Patno. She attended schools in Susquinita, PA and on July 24, 1986, was married to Daniel Davies who survives her. Lorrie-Ann has been a resident of the Swanton and Highgate areas for nearly 30 years.

 

MC910217052[1]For 26 years Lorrie-Ann faithfully served her country in the United States Army and was a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom in support of Iraqi freedom. She was honorably discharged as a Sergeant in 2006. In addition to her military service she worked with the US Immigration and Naturalization Service in St. Albans and also as a dispatcher for the St. Albans City Police Department. Lorrie-Ann will be remembered for her love of Harley-Davidson Motorcycle riding and camping. She especially enjoyed the Revolutionary War reenactments and was well known for cooking delicious meals over the campfires, at times for more than 40 people.

 

In addition to her husband Daniel, she leaves two children, Katrina Lauzon and husband Jesse of Ft. Hood, TX and Joshua Davies of Highgate and his fiancée, Michelle Johnston of Swanton; three grandchildren, Macayla, Creed and Ilana Lauzon; two sisters and their husbands, Jacalyn and Gordon Graham of Moores Forks, NY and Duana and Andrew Locke of Isle La Motte; three brothers and their wives, Harrison and Judy Patno of Enola, PA, Delvaney and Olivia Patno of Wyoming and Francis and Sarah Patno of Laconia, NH as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

 

Besides her father George Patno, she was predeceased by a sister, Caroline Brightbill in 1987.

 

Friends may call at The Kidder Memorial Home 89 Grand Ave., Swanton on Friday, January 6, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Graveside Service will full military honors will take place in the Spring from the Davies family lot in the Sheldon Village Cemetery.
