Gadouas, JObituary: Jeffrey M. Gadouas

Dateline: Colchester, VT 

 

Jeffrey M. Gadouas age 52, passed away on January 18, 2012 at his home in Colchester with his loving wife by his side following a long courageous battle with cancer.

 

Jeffrey was born on April 8, 1959 in St. Albans to Bernard and Claudette (Bedard)Gadouas.

 

Jeffrey graduated from B.F.A. in St. Albans in 1977. He was a self employed Electrical Contractor for the last 12 years. Prior to that he was employed by  Wesco Oil for many years.

Jeffrey married the love of his life Valerie Sears on December 21, 2010. He spent every minute possible with her because he knew that their time together would be short. Jeff had a special marker placed at the cemetery with an inscription he wrote describing how much they loved each other. It reads “Jeffrey & Valerie, Finally found their once in a life time true love when they found each other. Together Forever” Jeff enjoyed spending time with his family, he adored his grandchildren.  He also enjoyed fishing and working on computers.

 

He is survived by his wife Valerie, son Joshua of Safety Harbor, FL, daughter Rachelle Waiting and her husband Mark of Sudbury, MA.  Three step children, all of St. Albans, Tiffany, Brian and Derek Tatro who were constantly by his side loving and helping to care for him. Grandchildren Hudson Waiting and Kaden and Emma Arsenault. Mother Claudette Gadouas of Sheldon,
 brother Rick Gadouas of Highgate.  Sisters  Cindy Gadouas Larned of Swanton, Brenda Gadouas McCoy and husband David of Georgia, and Francine Gadouas Perkins and husband Jay of Barre. In laws Edmond and Leah Sears of  St. Albans.  He leaves behind a huge loving family of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.  As well as many friends and co workers.  He leaves two very special friends Harold Lemnah and Larry Tyler.

He was predeceased by his father Bernard; Uncles; Robert and Richard Bedard and William Richard. Aunt's; Denise Richard, Lorraine Bedard and Cousin James Bedard

 

In keeping with his wishes there will be no visiting hours.

 

 The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. from Saint Anthony Roman Catholic Church, 222 Missisquoi Street, Sheldon Springs. Father Thomas D. Nadeau will be the celebrant and homilist. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at the Gadouas family lot in Saint Anthony Cemetery.

 

Jeffrey’s family would like to thank the VNA for their services. And a very special thank-you to Melanie for her wonderful care and kindness during this difficult time.
