DATELINE: Swanton, Vermont Louis "Peanut" Gilbeau,
age 56 years, died late Thursday evening December 8, 2011, at his Platt
Street residence with loving family at his side. Born in Bellows Falls, VT on November 7,
1955, he was the son of Arthur and Sadie (Bell) Gilbeau.
He completed his education through Missisquoi
Valley Union High School and on June 14, 1986, was married to the former Tina
Lawyer who survives him. A machinist by trade, Peanut worked several
years for the Yankee Corporation of Georgia. In earlier years he had been
employed with IBM of Essex Junction, Sweat - Comings in Richford and The Book
Press in Brattleboro. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt.
He also enjoyed playing the guitar and Blue Grass music and was a master at woodworking.
In addition to his wife Tina of Swanton,
Peanut leaves six children, Morgan Gilbeau, Samantha
Gilbeau, Rebbecca Costillo, Sara Briggs, Louis Gilbeau
Jr. and Justin Gilbeau; six grandchildren; his
mother Sadie of Pennsylvania; his mother-in-laws and father-in-law, Ronald
and Joan Lawyer of Swanton and Lydia Lawyer of Richford as well as many aunts
uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins including three special cousins, Ricky,
Rocky and Danny Gilbeau all of Brattleboro. Besides his father Arthur Gilbeau,
he was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday December
15, 2011, at 4 p.m. from The Kidder Memorial Home 89 Grand Ave., Swanton.
Father Thomas D. Nadeau will officiate. There will be no public calling hours
and Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers gifts in Louis
"Peanut" Gilbeau's memory may be made to
his family in care of, Tina Gilbeau, 36 Platt St.
