DATELINE: Swanton, Vermont Donna Louise Lafar, age 67
years, a resident of the Waugh Farm Road for most of her lifetime, died early
Monday evening November 14, 2011, in Redstone Villa. Born at home in Swanton on September 23, 1944, she was
the daughter of the late William and Catherine (Cusson)
Lafar. She graduated from the former St. Anne's
Academy and over the years worked at Softlite of Swanton,
Peerless Clothing in Georgia and Twin Craft of Winooski. To Donna family was most important and she dearly loved
them all. She especially enjoyed babysitting for her great nieces and
nephews. She also enjoyed watching television, especially soap operas, game
shows, figure skating and the weather. She also had a fondness for horses. Donna leaves her brother, Evey Lafar, his wife Patricia and their son William all of
Swanton; her nieces and great nieces and nephews, Anny and Steven Kinney and
their daughter Grace; April and John Peters and their children, Zach, Jacob,
and Nathaniel; Alicia and Dave Buskey and their
children, Nicole, Stephanie, Catherine and Melody and niece Sherry Gagne all
of Swanton as well as several cousins and many friends. In addition to her parents Donna was predeceased by her
sister, Agnes Gagne on June 19, 2011; brother-in-law, Romeo Gagne on
September 21, 2011 and a great niece Ashley Peters on April 17, 2000. A Funeral Service will be held Monday November 21, 2011,
at 5 p.m. from The Kidder Memorial Home, 89 Grand Ave., Swanton. Father
Thomas D. Nadeau will officiate. The Rite of Committal and Interment will
take place privately in Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday afternoon
from 3 p.m. until the hour of the funeral. Gifts in Donna's memory may be
