DATELINE: Deland, Florida / Georgia, Vermont Valencia “Honey (Gabree)
Russell, age 66 years, passed away Thursday July 14, 2011, following a long
history of diabetes, at Halifax Hospital in Deland, Florida. Born in Georgia, Vermont on October 27, 1944, she
was the daughter of the late Raymond Sr. and Eva Gabree.
At the age 45 she graduated from nursing school in Florida, a longtime
passion of hers, an accomplishment of which her family was very proud.
Valencia enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and having
fun just enjoying life. Valencia was a very generous and compassionate person
with all the people that she had the pleasure to spend time with. Survivors include her husband, Pete Burnor of Deland; her daughter, Sherry Dumont of Swanton;
daughter, Ann Baker of Lake Helen, Florida and her son David Baker Jr. and
wife Yolande of New Smyrna, Florida; seven
grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Valencia was predeceased by her parents; her oldest
daughter, Robin Gazaille; several brothers and
sisters and her son-in-law, Raymond Dumont Sr. At Valencia’s request there will be no calling
hours. A Graveside Service will be held Monday August 22, 2011, at 5 p.m.
from Hope Cemetery, Vermont Route 104A, Georgia, Vermont with the help of
Pastor William Simmons. All family and friends are invited to attend the
